Post Chemotherapy

There are several symptoms experienced by a patient during and after chemotherapy treatment which requires adequate diet and care. Good nutrition for chemotherapy patients can be affected by the below symptoms.

  • Loss of appetite (anorexia)
  • Difficulty swallowing (Dysphagia)
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Dry mouth (xerostomia)
  • Fever
  • Bleeding
  • Pain or redness at the I.V site

ONPACC team are trained to care for the above symptoms and if symptoms are persitant, the patient is adviced to revisit their doctor. We also teach the family and care givers on how to care for themselvies as they care for the patient. The diet is planned according to individual needs,and some of complimentry therapies depending with the symptom.
